Precise automatic stripping with fine adjustment:

The Knipex PreciStrip16 automatically strips insulation and thanks to a fine adjustment, grips where other automatic devices would fail. The application range of the PreciStrip 16 is huge: Fine, flexible and solid cables can be stripped quickly and precisely using this insulation stripper. The capacity range extends from 0.08 to 16mm². Thanks to a fine adjustment, this new tool can automatically strip cables within its large capacity range, even where conventional automatic devices often fail. The PreciStrip 16 insulation stripper can be readily adjusted with a dial for special materials or temperature requirements. Parabolic stripping blades guarantee a precise cut. Semi-circular metal holding clamps ensure a perfect grip. The key component of this high-tech insulation stripper is the parabolic stripping blades that first cut the insulation of fine-stranded or solid round cables, then automatically strip it off backwards. The blade pair largely encloses the insulation and is thus suitable for many flexible materials.

A firm grip on all cable types:

Semi-circular grooved holding clamps ensure a good grip and hold practically any insulation material securely in place. The PreciStrip 16 insulating stripper also features a cable cutter on top, which reliably cuts cables within a capacity range up to 16mm². It has an adjustable length stop for accurate repeat work

Strip different single layer insulated conductors with one pair of wire strippers: Adjusts by themselves. Strip with one touch of the pliers and protect the conductor:

With these wire strippers, wire stripping is a piece of cake: Simply insert the cable, press the pliers handle, done. The Knipex 1240200 has been specifically developed for solid, multicore and finely stranded conductors of between 0.03 and 10.0mm² with a single layer of insulation. Such small conductor cross-sections, as with thin flat ribbon conductors with a width of up to 10mm are predominantly found in the area of electronics. The Knipex 1240200 is therefore bought frequently specifically for work in electronics.

Straight blade for best work on single layer insulation:

Single layer plastic insulation is perfectly cut with the blades that are straight and so run parallel to the conductors. The insulation is only cut as deeply as needed for removal of the insulation layer. Very fine and multicore conductors also remain undamaged when the Knipex 1240200 is used correctly. What is more, work using these pliers is very economical, the operating principle selected here permits a wide capacity range, although they are not suitable for highly flexible and reinforced insulation materials, but rather only for single layer insulated cable.

Save time and effort:

Compared to conventional wire strippers and stripping blades, the 1240200 self-adjusting wire strippers from Knipex require much less time and energy to be spent on wire stripping. Less time because they adjust automatically to various cable cross-sections using less energy due to their smoothly operating mechanics and because they weigh just 202g. The cutting depth can be adapted with just one hand movement for insulation materials with varying degrees of hardness.
